South Wales’s Fame School are getting set to sparkle in their up and coming production of Hairspray, The Broadway Musical. The Mark Jermin Stage School has been selected as one of the few theatre schools to perform this smash hit 1960’s musical. Over 200 children and youngsters ranging from 4 – 21yrs will be performing the hit Musical for a two week run at Penyrheol Theatre, Gorseinon, Swansea from March 10 to March 20 2010.

The production showcases many of Wales’ up and coming stars including Pobol y Cwm’s Emily Tucker as Amber and Swansea Singing sensation Shaheen Jafargholi who shot to fame in Britain’s Got Talent who will play Seaweed. This will be the first time an audience will see 13 year old Shaheen sing, dance and act with his fellow students from the Swansea Stage School in this breathtaking show.

Producer and Director of the Production, Mark Jermin says, “This is my biggest production to date. The students have been working so hard on the show for the last few months.” Mark continues, “It’s a fun, upbeat show for all the family and the show is sure to dazzle audiences”
