In order to reduce accidental  fires across the area, the Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are running a major programme of Home Fire Safety Checks.

Firefighters and community fire safety staff from the Service are able to visit domestic properties to provide home fire safety advice and will supply and install a smoke alarm free of charge.

These checks are the cornerstone of the proactive role the Service is now adopting in its drive to reduce the deaths and injuries that are caused by accidental fires.
